In preparation of Pope John Paul II’s funeral in St Peter’s Square:

Michelangelo All individuals that have a naturalistic worldview that is free of supernatural and mystical elements, should visit The Brights’ movement website, and discuss with other likeminded individuals how one can respond wisely to the mumbo-jumbo-his-holiness discussions of the week.
For me at least, he will be remembered for his views on women, homosexuality and, last but not least, contraception. One should not be afraid to shout (politely of course): Beware! Stupidity can cause a slow and painful death! The hundreds of thousands that are dying of AIDS in Africa are proof enough.

Priests and conjurors are of the same trade. (Thomas Paine, The Age of Reason)

Question: don’t you think that much more Africans (latin Americans, Asians, even Americans) are dying a “slow and painful death” because of neo-libreal right-wing,i.e. capitalist, policies forced on the people of the world by a handful of corporations that are only interested in profit? just a question!

And canonise as Martyrs;” –Robert Burns
