RollingStone (No. 946, April 15, 2004) placed Bruce 23rd in a list of the 100 most important musicians of all times. The beautiful illustration that is featured in the corresponding article (writen by Jackson Brown), was by Owen Smith. His work reminded me of the illustra- tions of Mr. Peabody’s Apples; the story for children written by Madonna and illustrated by Loren Long. Her website hosts a number of her illustrations; my personal favorite being Charlie Hayden dancing with his bass.
